House Rebuild in Ribchester

A seven month timescale to demolish a tired bungalow and build a bespoke home.

We were recommended to the client by a pervious customer. They had gone in to meticulous detail to design a home specifically for there requirements.

A large dinning kitchen, equally large lounge, open plan stairway with gallery landing, office, utility and shower room on the ground floor with integral garage complete with remote garage door. Two guest rooms and master suit with dressing room and en-suit bathroom on the first floor. The master bedroom having the amazing view from the glazed balcony.

Internally all the woodwork is solid oak with underfloor heating beneath the oak and tile floors.

Gary was recommended to us by the one of his former clients. We were told he would be reliable, would not cut corners, would turn up every day, have an attention to detail and offer suggestions on how to do a particular job better or more cheaply than working strictly to plan. This proved to be the case.

We have found Gary to be scrupulous in his approach to buildings our house. His team works hard and keeps to a strict daily schedule, working in some tough wet conditions during the winter. He himself works hardest of all in the team, leading by example and with a thinking approach.

Gary has been a very good builder to work with. He has approached the project with intelligence and a desire to produce the best outcome for us. He has helped us tackle a number of problems throughout the building process including dealing with third parties such as building inspectors and utilities.

We went with Gary’s recommendations for other tradespeople and were happy with this. If we had another project in mind we would wait until Gary was available rather than employing another builder. One friend remarked that if she ever wanted a builder she would want to use Gary because she saw that he was on site every morning at 8 am come rain or shine. He is the most reliable builder we have ever come cross. We can thoroughly recommend him without hesitation. He built for us a remarkable house which everybody comments on.

Woodplumpton Kitchen Extension

Demolition of kitchen extension and outbuildings to allow for construction of kitchen/lounge, bathroom, utility room and garage.
Work started in July of 2013 on this project.
We demolished the rear kitchen extension and outbuildings then built the large day room which flows through to the open plan kitchen. Beyond that there is a bathroom, utility and garage. 6.4m wide bi-folding doors were fitted with 10 interlocking “Velux”windows which wrapped over the roof above the doors. The installation of the “Velux” windows gained us 5* installers accreditation with “Velux”.
The whole house was re-rendered and the driveway laid with permeable block paving.
Work was completed in November.

We asked Gary to undertake the build and project management after providing a detailed and very competitive quote. He was happy to meet and liaise with suppliers to plan how best to achieve the design we wanted.
The skilled team that Gary brought in we’re reliable helpful and tidy. Even though the build touched upon every room in the property, they made it possible for us to remain in the house throughout. We found the advice and recommendations of how ideas could be improved invaluable and has resulted in a fabulous extension that shows quality workmanship.
We are extremely pleased with the whole build which came in on budget and on time. A big thank you to Gary and his team from Helen, Alan and family Woodplumpton
